PRODUCT USE
WeatherTite FlashTite is a flashing repair system formulated to stop leaks from faulty or deteriorated flashing around chimneys, stacks and vents.

Benefits
Weather resistant in 6 hours. Premixed. Flexible and forms a continuous, seamless coating. Water resistant: withstands wind driven rain, salt spray, and most chemicals. Excellent weather resistance and color retention. Water clean up. Excellent adhesion. Odorless when cured. Resists fungus.

APPLICATION
Substrates should be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil or any other contaminants that might prevent proper bonding.

Mask surrounding area to create clean sharp edges. Apply a single heavy coat to area in need of repair.

FlashTite can be used in combination with reinforcement fabric for added strength, available from your FlashTite supplier.

If using fiber mesh, measure out enough fabric to cover the repair. Using a brush, putty knife or trowel, apply a thin coat of FlashTite to the area in need of repair. Be sure to fill all cracks gaps and holes. Extend coating slightly beyond where fabric will end. Using your application tool, embed reinforcement fabric into base coat. Be sure coating extends slightly beyond the edge of the Reinforcement fabric. Apply second coat over fabric making sure to cover fabric completely.

NOTE: Warm temperatures may accelerate drying. Apply in small sections. Use masking, duct or painters tape on structure and roof to produce clean edges.

CLEAN-UP
Thoroughly rinse application equipment with soap and clean water while your equipment is still wet.

Limitations
FlashTite must be applied to structurally sound, solid, clean and dry substrates. It is not designed to be applied to loose, crumbly, chalky, oil-coated, or smooth plastic.. Do not apply when freezing temperatures are expected within 12 hours

Do not apply when raining or when rain is imminent or when ambient temperatures drop below 40°. Allow 12 hours minimum drying time prior to rain. High humidity or cold temperatures may affect drying time. Cures completely in 72 hours

WARRANTY
WeatherTite CrownTite is warranted for a period of ten (10) years from the date of manufacture when installed in accordance with the application instructions provided by WeatherTite, Inc.
Exceptions- This warranty does not cover failures due to the following:
• Fire, flood, natural disaster or any act of God.
• Improper storage, handling or installation.
• Plumbing leaks, faulty construction or house settling that exceeds the materials elasticity.
The WeatherTite Commitment- If WeatherTite FlashTite is proved to have failed during the warranty period, WeatherTite, Inc. will replace the failed material FOB from it’s nearest distribution point.
WeatherTite, Inc. reserves the right to inspect the job site by an authorized representative prior to the settlement of any claims. Notification of claims must be made in writing to WeatherTite, Inc. upon discovery.
WeatherTite’s sole and complete responsibility for proven material failure is as set forth in this warranty. WeatherTite, Inc. will not be responsible for incidental, indirect or consequential damages including reinstallation labor. No other warranty is implied or expressed.
